I Can Still See You

It's been a year since my brother, Aryeh, and I have been together. Sadly, that's not changing any time soon. We can't see other, but I can tell Aryeh how I really see him. Going down the gratitude path, I'll tell him that I admire his curiosity and how he can strike up conversation with just about anyone. I'll tell him that I'm awed by how he always finds the hidden gems anywhere he goes and plans the coolest adventures. I'll tell him that I appreciate the way our relationship has evolved and the assurance that he and I, along with my sister, hold each other up. Or maybe I'll save that one for Chanukah.

Thanksgiving this year will be simple and intimate. We can't gather in person and linger for hours. But we can take this opportunity to tell specific family members and friends what they mean to us and why. It doesn't need to be long or even sent through the mail (though we now know just how reliable the USPS really is). Your sweet note will definitely light up that special someone's day.
